Senior High Youth Group is about offering perspective on how we live as Christians, specifically Lutherans, in this world. It is a great opportunity to build long lasting relationships with peers.
There is always an overwhelming number of high school students who participate in the mission trips. Bethlehem youth are active in the the LYON Assembly, and the National ELCA Youth Gathering is also very well attended.
MISSION TRIPS provide the kind of faith exploration and community experience that can give people of all ages blessings of faith, hope, and love. Traveling on a mission trip to discover how big the world is renews and enhances spiritual growth.
This summer’s mission trip was in Denver- July 10-15, 2023.
Judy Stukenholtz is the leader of B.L.Y. She has impacted the faith life of many youth through the years and has dedicated much time as a volunteer.  She is a longtime member of Bethlehem and teaches kindergarten at Wahoo Public Schools.

THE LYON ASSEMBLY welcomes 9th-12th graders from around the state for a weekend of serving, learning, worshipping, hanging out with old friends and meeting new ones. The assembly is held the weekend before Thanksgiving in Kearney for Eastern Nebraska youth.

The ELCA Youth Gathering  for high school-age youth takes place every three years and is about faith formation, worship, study, fellowship, service, and play. It is an opportunity to engage with peers from across the United States and the world who share a common commitment and faith in Christ.
