Holy Communion every Sunday - All who have received instruction are welcome at the Lord's Table. Children are encourage to come forward for a blessing.
Worship is a life-giving encounter with God that motivates and equips us. It’s a return to the sources of our faith and identity where we are mutually encouraged, enlightened, inspired, and regenerated.
A Lutheran worship service is liturgical, a word that comes from the Greek meaning “peoples’ work.” Liturgy not only gives order to worship, it defines worship as corporate and participatory.

WORD FOR THE WEEK (9/28/26)
[Jesus said] “What do you think? A man had two sons; he went to the first and said, ‘Son, go and work in the vineyard today.’ He answered, ‘I will not,’but later he changed his mind and went. The father went to the second and said the same, and he answered, ‘I go, sir,’ but he did not go. Which of the two did the will of his father?” They said, “The first.” Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are going into the kingdom of God ahead of you. For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed him, and even after you saw it you did not change your minds and believe him.” Matthew 21:28-32
Where is the world that we have always dreamed of? It's here if we can get out of our own way. We look for answers to that question within the things we know in this world - changes in policies or rules or behaviors. Jesus wants us to change our very selves. Not just think differently, but live differently and believe differently. Religious leaders want to talk about of power and control, Jesus wants to talk about transformation, about putting aside our impulses and desires and our very selves and stepping into a life of Grace. Jesus points to the unlikely example of the tax collectors and prostitutes, to those in the world who have nothing to keep and so nothing to lose as our example. When we are emptied of our own self, then we can be filled with the light and love of God. May we be released from the weight of this world and return empty-handed to the promise of our baptism!
